This awesome family of 4 came to the studio for updated photos since adding their youngest child and we had so much fun! Giggles, tickles, mommy & daddy snuggles and then – of course – some good ol’ smiles for the camera.

While weddings may not be my primary focus as a professional photographer, they are ever so fun when I do have them! This couple had the sweetest, most fun and easy going wedding with some of the best food I’d ever tasted this past summer right at the Day Block Brewing Company in Downtown Minneapolis.
We also spent time at the Stone Arch Bridge taking photos beforehand and the Minnesota weather did not disappoint!

This little stud muffin turned one this month and to mark the occasion his parents brought him into the studio for a cake smash session. Not only was he a perfect angel but his parents were so fun and laid back. Plus he had the most stylish outfits of any 1 year old I’ve seen which made the whole thing that much more enjoyable! I also took a few minutes to capture some family photos and ones of just mom and dad because as we parents know, it’s really us that survives the first year and needs a little celebration at the end!

So, my Project 365 may have died off around July when we moved to our new place. And my 100 days of Winter project may have died too… right around the time I had to get the house ready for Christmas. At any rate, I took many more personal images this year than I ever have before, and for that I am grateful.

This lovely family’s session included photos in their home – both traditional and candid – as well as some studio time. Talk about variety! I love watching parents interact with their little ones and I love watching young siblings interact even more. The playing, the smiles, the hugs and giggles. This is what family is all about.

This lovely couple welcomed their baby girl last month and had me over to capture their first few days as a family. I love being able to show new parents how they look to each other in the beginning. How the daddy looks kissing his newborn; how momma is glowing as she smiles at her baby.

This family is one of my favorites! From photographing them last year, to spending time with the other side of their family, to capturing their most recent addition when he was just a few hours old, they have allowed me to be present for so many times and I cannot put into words how wonderful it is to be trusted with such precious moments over and over again.
This year we met up at my favorite lake spot for photos with the whole gang; followed by a few extra images of one of the family units right before sunset. Such a perfect night!

I love getting back to my favorite spot in the fall for family sessions at the Christmas tree farm! This spot has so many differnet locations, it never disappoints. This adorable family of 5 joined me there a few weeks ago and the Minnesota weather was perfection. Mom told me beforehand that she was anxious about how the kids would do but they were total dolls the entire time.
