I’ve had the immense pleasure of photographing this family since their little guy was just a bump in mom’s belly and every year he gets more adorable. This year our session was at their home in Wayzata, MN and it included some tickles combined with swinging, climbing, and trampoline jumping. Also known as, a three year old’s idea of a perfect summer evening. Oh and I did mention messing dad’s hair up? That is also a big hit with the toddler crowd.

Minneapolis Family Photographers

I don’t often use the studio space in NE Minneapolis, and when I do it’s usually in the cold months of our Minnesota winters, but when a lovely momma asks you for a studio session in the middle of the summer? You oblige!

This mom and dad and their two lovely daughters came in a few weeks for some updated family photos and, in addition to the traditional, posed shots, we had lots of giggles, tickling, dancing and fun mixed in.

Mille Lacs Family Photographer

This family was visiting the great state of Minnesota all the way from Australia, and they needed a photographer to capture their extended family session on Lake Mille Lacs over the 4th of July holiday. And guess who just-s0-happens to have a lake place on Lake Mille Lacs who is also always in the area for the 4th of July? Yup – THIS GIRL!

We met up at Appeldorn’s Sunset Bay Resort on Lake Mille Lacs and had one of the silliest, giggliest, most joy filled sessions you could possibly imagine. I don’t photograph extended families as much as I used, to but I sure do love them when I do. Grandma and grandpa getting in on the action means double the joy and, usually, double the final gallery size!

I love photographing other photographer’s families. It’s always so special to see how other mommas interact with their little ones when they are in front of the camera, instead of behind it.

This adorable family of five and I found an amazing new location in the NW Metro area of Minneapolis that I plan to make good use of in the coming summer months. They hadn’t had their pictures taken since Mr. Stud Muffin in the suspenders was still in his momma’s tummy; so clearly it was time to fix that.

Big field for running? Check. Lovely sky for either hazy clouds or stunning sunsets? Creek to splash around in? Check. Free parking?? CHECK!

Do you have your own growing family in need of updated photos? Email me today to inquire about current openings. I promise you won’t regret capturing these moments of your life.
