I know, I know… everyone wants the perfect fall family photography session with golden leaves and crisp air. But autumn in Minnesota is a fickle lady and we haven’t had the gorgeous golden colors in over three years now. We hopefully will this fall, since fall leaf color is directly tied to summer rainfall, and Lord knows we’ve had a lot of rain this summer, but still – I really really recommend doing your family photos in the summer, even if it’s just once.

Summer babies are my favorite because we can easily make the house nice and toasty by letting up on the air conditioning and then they sleep like champs.
